More and more clients contact us with a question to create from scratch. Some clients offer their own sketches, others have faith in our eye and let us design for them.
Feel free to reach out with your specific questions, share any reference photos, and try to be as specific as possible: let us know which materials you’d prefer, ideal dimensions and any information you can think of to help us understand what you are looking for.
We will study your brief, get back to you with any further questions we might have and give you an idea of budget. Should the budget be too high we can discuss alternatives (changing materials, tweak the design, …).
Please note that we will not accept requests to copy existing designs by others.
Reclaimed Hardwood
P. Tendercool is based in Thailand, where a couple of generations ago every house was a wooden one. Thailand was spoiled for choice and many houses were constructed using now rare exotic tropical woods. We made it our mission to score these and turn vintage floors, beams, and pillars into truly unique furniture, created for you, towards your specifications.
We use traditional wood-working techniques and – unless you ask otherwise – refrain from leveling the bottom of a table. Our furniture will more often than not show imperfections we cherish, traces of its past: old wooden pegs, old joinery, some restored holes, all signs of the wood’s previous life.
